Crazy Roo Of Temple
NeoQuest guide by the11thwiseman. Read Also: The Jungle Ruins Trek, Techo Caves.
Whew, you have the Dank Cave and Jungle Ruins behind you! Now Neopia feels a bit smaller, doesn't it? Right. Head back to Neopia to have some more small talk if you wish, and we'll begin the journey. With everything to the north and south complete, and the east leading to ocean, the next destination is obvious! West we shall go, through yonder forest and swamp!
Well, there isn't much to get lost in, and the enemies are pretty easy, so I'll assume you can guide yourself to the swamp and down to the southern end of it. You should see Swamp Edge City. Enter it! Have a few drinks, a couple parties, sleep till noon and Sunday, and when you're done with that, its collecting time! The latest armors are in hot demand, and you must collect materials for Swamp Edge Citians before they'll give you a taste of their might.
Mokti's generator thingy:
- Spyder leg (sand spyder)
- Pincer (dust spider)
- Cobrall fang (desert cobrall)
- Skeith eye (sand skeith)
Leirobas' Sorcerous Robe
- Spyder blood (sand spyder)
- Cobrall venom (desert cobrall)
- Skeith spit (sand skeith)
- Crystallized sand (desert zombie)
All of these can be found in the desert. Have fun finding them, the enemies are scattered about. Once you recieve your new armor, head to the center of the desert.(Which you should be familiar with by now) Enter the opening here, and voila! You're now in the Roo Temple.
*Note: I've heard of more people skipping here than anywhere else. Don't. Just. Don't. The weapon and levels you get are wonderful.
The Temple of Roo
This is one big place. First, head east and meet Erick, if you'd like, then continue on that route untill you arrive at the gray-floored area. The enemies here drop golowing stones, in case your supply is low.
Follow the gray-brick road west, as faar wast as it will take you. (A skinny bit of road is sout of the multiple ponds) and continue untill you arrive at a chair and table. Head south from there to arrive on some desert. Head west to the grassland, and head into the graybrick area there.Just head north, and hug the walls. Not much to it beyond that. Be sure to hunt for the training, though!
*Note: The next weapon upgrade requires a piece of living crystal dropped by the crystal golems that appear near the exit of this level. Do get one, old bean.
Take the opening you see to arrive at...
Temple of Roo Level 2
The name sings, doesn't it? Now, before moving on, I must tell you of the strangeness of this room. Each door is locked and each has a respective key held by a monster that can only be found in certain rooms. The room to your direct west holds a monster that is will randomly attack that will drop a key for another room. These monsters typically have the name Ghastly in them, and they are stronger than the other monsters you may encounter. Their levels vary.
*Important Note: The enemies here drop massive tons of topaz, emeralds, and other precious stones. Do grab a few, as the next weapon upgrade calls for one.
From the first key room, head north west, all the way to the northwest corner of the room, where a smaller room awaits. Use your key here, and enter this room. Get the key. Head south from here, around the big room, all the down to where you see desert. Head west and open the large room here with your key. Head North of here, bast the first key room, and soon you'll arrive at another large room. Unlock, fight the monsters, etc.
*takes a breath*
Head east of here, and unlock the room directly south of key room 2. Unlock, fight the monster, yada yada yada. Head west of here and take the first room you see. Unlock, and, what a suprise! Slay the bloody monster and claim your key. Head south east from here, and open the final room. That's it for keys! Whoo.
Make sure you're about level 31+ or so before attempting the boss in this room; he's tough. When your ready, walk up to the image of the wizard to fight...
The Archmagus of Roo.
This guy took me a little bit of time to defeat. He can stun you for 3 rounds, drain you of hp, and lots of crazy stuff. I like to stay above 100 hp, in case he freezes meand decides to actually hit me. I've always wondered how that lupe could dodge while stunned. Anyway, pound away, heal when needed, and soon Roo Temple will be yours! Bwa ha ha ha ha! Oh, and a clouded gem too. Yeah. Take that teleporter when you're done (and have all the precious stones you want) to begin...
The Quest for the Cool Weapon.
It must have taken forever to figure out how to get this weapon. I know I didn't figure it out, someone told me, in fact. I forget who though. Anyway, moving on. Talk to that Rabbit Erick, and show him your clouded gem. It becomes the super funky cool...not...clouded gem. *cough*
Exit the temple, and head south. Alll th way to the greenery right below the desert. Here, you shall run into Grarrls. They drop oak staffs. Get one. Then go back to Swamp Edge City. Give Leirobas your piece of living crystal. Amazing! He became less grumpy. Now, give him the items he wants (Each pretty little stone will result in a different type of Gem, I advise you to give him the emerald, as this will eventually result in you receiving the Life Staff, which, I might add, is super funky cool as well.) and return to Erick. Give him your new gem, and the staff, and.....WHOOT! Cool weapon. Hopefully life, because it heals 100! Yes, 100. Just watch the potion number skyrocket!
From here, head south to the Techo Caves. But this, my friend, is another tale completly. I must bid you farewell, untill next time!
